Often, we are wondering which factors get in the way of an innovation getting to market, even when its the logical consequence of market development and brings better alternative than the current mainstream product.  “We’ve arranged a civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology”, as Carl Sagan puts it. In that same world, we are the ones often responsible for getting in the way of the science and technology developments, maintaining the status quo, just because of own interests (read: money), power and influence.

I’ve recently participated in a class for strategic technology management, whereby the following video was discussed. Wanted to share it, since it examines most of these issues, in an industry that remains its status quo because of the before said.

Enjoy watching it!
